LMP has recently organized two Lean Champion training courses in Europe in which Lean and Six Sigma were central. The participants consisted of managing directors, sales and engineering directors and staff employees from various locations, including Italy, Austria, Germany and France. The 5 week training was organized on location in the various countries. In addition to the training, time was also set aside to carry out concrete improvement projects (so-called kaizen events), which immediately boosted mutual cooperation and applied best-practice in reality.

Companies with multiple locations in different countries strive for a standardized working method when it comes to Continuous Improvement. Logical because products are often related to each other or because there is an internal customer-supplier relationship. It also often occurs that sales, (sales) engineering and service must be offered from one region while the product is designed and / or manufactured elsewhere in the world. The quality of the product and the service must be at the same high level regardless of the location.

The Lean Champion training brought a solution for this company to guarantee this high standard and excellent quality and to expand it even further. Lean Management techniques and the Six Sigma approach were central, whereby the emphasis of this training was placed on managing a Lean program within the own organization and the associated preconditions. The various teams enthusiastically went to work with the Lean techniques that were relevant to them, which could then be implemented in-house. Creating a flow across different locations in different countries is not easy. In this case, the Lean Champion training also ensured clear mutual communication with a language and working method that made Flow possible.
